Published the New 2023 Sustainability Report | Beauty Made Right

Among the achievements: 185,000 kg of virgin plastic saved, carbon footprint calculation, 100% recovery of obsolete bottles and liquid waste, and for the third consecutive year, carbon neutrality for its headquarters.

Pettenon Cosmetics has published its third Sustainability Report, a document that highlights tangible results and the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental and social sustainability. This new report represents a significant milestone, confirming a corporate strategy rooted in responsible production practices, innovation, and a focus on community well-being.

In 2023, the company made significant progress in sustainability thanks to substantial investments in eco-friendly production processes. Notably, Pettenon Cosmetics tripled its use of recycled plastic compared to 2021, saving 185,000 kg of virgin plastic, and recovered 100% of obsolete bottles through cutting-edge blow molding technology, which now produces 40% of the necessary PE jars and bottles for production.

The company also strengthened its commitment through a Sustainable Procurement project, collaborating with Italian suppliers—88% of the total—who adhere to high sustainability standards. Waste management is equally rigorous: the company carefully separates waste and, thanks to an advanced filtration and purification system, fully recovers the liquid waste generated.

These achievements are part of a broader strategic plan that has enabled Pettenon Cosmetics to achieve carbon neutrality at its San Martino di Lupari production site for the third consecutive year. The company’s headquarters runs entirely on renewable energy and has taken decisive steps to measure, reduce, and offset residual emissions, positioning itself as a virtuous model in sustainability.

At the same time, Pettenon Cosmetics continues to invest in social projects and corporate responsibility initiatives, supporting over 20 local associations and promoting globally significant causes. The company, 60% of whose workforce is female—54% of which are in management positions—reaffirmed its commitment to gender equality by adhering to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) since 2022.

In 2023, the company also strengthened its governance by establishing an internal Sustainability Committee (ESG Committee), integrating social and environmental responsibility into all strategic decisions.

"Sustainability is the driving force behind our corporate vision and the engine that inspires every decision and daily activity," stated Luigi Ambrosini, CEO of Pettenon Cosmetics. "The publication of the Sustainability Report for the third consecutive year is a source of great pride for us, as it demonstrates our tangible progress towards a circular and sustainable economy. At Pettenon Cosmetics, we believe beauty must be synonymous with responsibility and respect. With dedication that goes beyond aesthetics to reach the heart of ethics and responsibility, we are committed to leaving a positive impact on the community and the environment in which we operate. These efforts not only demonstrate responsible leadership but also our determination to lead the industry towards a more sustainable future, with determination, passion, and focus on innovation."
